TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) is an exam to evaluate English knowledge in a professional environment. For more than 25 years, TOEIC® has been used by institutions, companies and government agencies around the world to measure the English language abilities for non-native speakers.

inlingua Valencia is since 2007 an Examining TOEIC® Center.

The Test of English for International Communication ( TOEIC ®) measures the daily English skills that work for an international environment. It evaluates knowledge on all levels, from beginners to advanced, on all professional and social categories.

It provides a standard acknowledged all over the world. Most international groups and 2,000 companies in Europe use TOEIC ® to evaluate their employees' English knowledge.

It is an exam on paper, with 200 multiple choice questions. The approximate time is 2 hours, the examinees will have to answer biographic questions on the answer sheet and answer a brief questionnaire about their academic and working career.

Exam parts:

The exam is divided in two main sections, each section has 100 questions based on labor contexts from real life in an international environment.
A ) LISTENING COMPRENSION. The examinees will listen to a series of recorded statements, questions, short conversations. They will answer the questions based on what they hear. This section lasts 45 minutes and has 4 parts:

• Part 1: Photography ( 20 questions )

• Part 2 : Question - Answer ( 30 questions)

• Part 3 : short conversations ( 20 questions )

• Part 4 : short conversations ( 20 questions )

B)  READING. The students will read a series of materials and answer 100 questions about what they have read. This section lasts 75 minutes. It has 3 parts:

• Part 5 : incomplete sentences ( 40 questions )

• Part 6 : find the mistakes ( 20 questions )

• Part 7 : reading comprehension ( 40 questions )

Each participant will be given an independent grade for the written and oral comprehension in a scale from 5 to 495 points. The final grade will be from 10 to 99. According to the Common European Framework for Languages from the European Council, the level B1 corresponds to a minimum grading of 550 points in TOIEC ® and 880 points for C1.

El TOIEC can be organized as required. The candidates can choose taking the exam in the official announcements established by the authorized centers. Exams will be graded within two weeks after the postal reception or 3 days if sent by urgent post. The TOIEC certificate is an internationally recognized document where the English level competence is established. The certificate has 5 colours, depending on the results:
