" Valencia , known as "the beautiful, full of life's necessities", is one of the most pleasant cities in Spain, as well as one of the largest and richest, due to its trade with foreign countries".

Thus the traveller A. Jouvin spoke of Valencia, in the XVII century. At the same time, the Venetian Bartolomeo de Rogatis wrote:"It is always spring in Valencia. Surrounded by fields it is more like a garden than a city. Therefore it is not surprising that foreigners who have settled in Valencia, are attracted both by the beauty of the city and the kindness of its inhabitants".

Today, these words are still valid: Valencia , the third largest city in Spain with more than 800,000 inhabitants has excellent services, communications and a wide variety of art and culture. Its economic importance places it at the forefront of Spain´s foreign trade. Traditionally, Valencia has been a venue for international trade fairs and a major conference centre.

Valencia , situated in a large, fertile plain on the banks of the Mediterranean coast, enjoys one of the best climates in the peninsula: proximity to the sea means mild temperatures throughout the year. The dry bed of the River Turia, which passes right through the centre of the city, is now a beautiful park.

The nearby mountains and forests, and villages of great historic interest attract the visitor´s attention, without forgetting the region´s agricultural importance, rice, oranges and vineyards, which are reflected in a rich and varied gastronomy.

Culture and art are present in the street, in the many bright festivals, in the kindness of its people, and in the way of understanding life. The old historic centre of the city is a great place to visit, stroll in and relax. The whole area of the old city is rich in architecture. The Cathedral and surrounding area stand out. This can be contrasted with many examples of a new, ultra-modern style of architecture, Norman Foster´s Congress Palace , the City of Arts and Sciences , the Calatrava Bridge over the old river or indeed, the new metro and its stations.

inlingua is situated in a very lively and friendly district within fifteen-minutes walking distance to the centre and with easy access to public transport (underground and buses are situated within two-minutes walk). The school, founded in 1973 , is equipped with modern facilities, completely air-conditioned and with recognised international fame due to its pedagogical experience in the field of teaching Spanish as a foreign language.
inlingua is based in large, spacious, purpose-designed facilities situated in the well-known Calle Jesús. It has 14 fully equipped teaching rooms, conference facilities, and three multi-media rooms. The atmosphere is professional and relaxed. The decor is modern with areas to relax in or have a coffee (or soft drink).
The majority of students at inlingua are Spanish people studying other languages on our internationally recognised training programmes which means that you have every opportunity to contact with native speakers.

 About the courses...

The lessons are taught according to the inlingua method - that is, based on learning by practice, totally in Spanish. The emphasis is on oral ability and being able to use the language in a real situation from the start. Grammar, reading and writing are also covered in an adequate practice environment. Video, audiotapes, overhead projectors, and other aids are used to simplify your effort. There is a self-access multimedia room for consolidation of coursework.
