| THE SCHOOL |
inlingua Santander, a member of inlingua International Ltd, is a private school, teaching English, French, German and Spanish as foreign languages. It has a staff of about 18. The school is in a modern building situated in the residential area “El Sardinero”, just a few minutes’ walk from the main beaches and a short bus ride from the centre of the city. |

| OUR COURSES |
The school employs the DIRECT METHOD of teaching. This means that the lessons are conducted entirely in the language that the students are learning, and their mother tongue (Spanish) is not used in the classroom. The students range from children of 4 to mature adults, including in-company classes. They attend group or private lessons for between 2 and 10 hours weekly. Groups vary in number, the average being about 6 students. |

| QUALITY |
Teachers are encouraged to make the best of their talents and experience within the limits established by the school’s pedagogical organisation. At the same time they are obviously responsible to the school for students’ progress. New teachers attend a Method Course on arrival in Santander, and in-service training sessions are held throughout the academic year. |

| THE PLACE |
Santander is a university town with 180,000 inhabitants and a fashionable tourist destination, located on the northern coast of Spain. It is famed for its beautiful bay and for having some of the best beaches in the country.
The coastal region of Cantabria, green and agricultural, has lost little of its natural beauty. Its most impressive feature is the strong contrast between the sea and the mountains: from the port of Santander peaks can be seen in the distance; a ski resort is but a 2 hour drive away and a little further on you have the 'Picos de Europa' with summits of over 2,000 metres and breathtakingly beautiful views.
There are good Iberia and Ryanair connections from Santander to Madrid, London, Dublin, Rome, Francfort etc.
