FINANCING TRAINING
The financing of the training is met by the budget of the State National Employment Office (SPEE, old INEM) by means of the resources that come from the collection of the Company’s part of Social Security charges for the vocational training. The European Social Fund takes part in the co-financing of the training.
ORGANISATION OF THE TRAINING
The companies themselves can organise and arrange the training of their workers or contract it to a Centre or specialised institution. In this way they can associate with other companies to arrange a joint programme led by an organizing Entity.
TRIPARTITE FOUNDATION FOR ON-THE-JOB-TRAINING
The Tripartite Foundation for On-the-Job Training is in charge of promoting and coordinating public policies related to workers’ training. This entity arranges the follow-up and monitoring of the different training initiatives.
REDUCTIONS FOR INFORMATION
The companies are given a loan to train their workers and when they do this training the companies’ Social Security charges can be reduced by this amount. The percentage of reduction will be the higher the smaller the size of the company. In this way workers’ training of small companies is funded.
CONDITIONS TO APPLY FOR THE REDUCTION
- Inform a company representative if they have one.
- Advise the Tripartite Foundation On-the-job the course start date.
- Carry out the training and pay the expenses.
- Advise the financing of the training.
WHEN TO CLAIM
Once the training is completed, reductions can begin the month after the course has finished or when you wish within the course year.
WHAT IS AN ORGANISING ENTITY?
It is a specialised entity in the training processes, normally a Training Centre specialises in training employed workers, whose aim is to advise companies in the process of training their employees as well as plan and organize the training. They arrange everything with the Administration department so that the companies can deduct their expenses training without having to get involved with the process themselves.
This entity is responsible for managing the documentation of the training projects making the follow-up to the Administration easy.
OTHER INITIATIVES OF EXISTING TRAINING
Apart from the continuing training actions in the companies, there is the Individual Training Leave and the framework programmes for training of workers who are employees and self-employed.
